Latest results from the postmortem reveal the mystery behind Sylvia Kemunto’s death. Surprisingly, the postmortem results contradict the alleged killer’s tale.
On Tuesday, April 8, the government pathologist, Dr. Johansen Oduor, announced the postmortem outcomes. According to the research, it is confirmed that Kemunto passed away from strangulation. This confirms the suspicion of foul play on the deceased.
According to Dr. Oduor, exposed defensive wounds were on the deceased’s body. This suggests the struggle with Kemunto’s assailant, who overpowered her. Additionally, the post-mortem results arrived days after the body was discovered in the water tank.
The journey to pursuing a double major in mass communication and computer science sadly ends. Kemunto’s mother tried to reach her daughter at the end of March but in vain. The vagueness compelled her to travel to the university.
Later, Kemunto’s mother gets informed that the daughter had not been seen in the recent days. Therefore, a search ensued after the report on the missing person at Lang’ata Police Station.
Suspect’s shocking revelation
Meanwhile, the one believed to be a 20-year-old’s boyfriend has been arrested. Following the disappearance and death of Kemunto, the alleged boyfriend has been arrested. Additionally, the alleged killer is a first-year pursuing electrical engineering.
During an interview, the alleged killer admitted to murdering his girlfriend. On the contrary, his confession did not align with the findings on the pathological reports. According to the suspect, he pushed the girlfriend after she declined his advances. Further, he claimed that the victim knocked her head on the wall, and after the push, she died.
After the tragic incident, the suspect claimed that due to a panic, he sought to conceal the body on the rooftop, in a water tank. Strangely, the suspect alleges that he stayed with the body in the room for a while before dumping it.
