Elvis Murakana: MP Beatrice Elachi’s Son Dies

The Dagoretti North Member of National Assembly, Beatrice Elachi’s son, is confirmed dead. Elvis Murakana passed away on Tuesday, March 2025. Reportedly, the son of the MP Beatrice Elachi succumbed to severe injuries after a grisly road accident.

Since the fatal road accident, the deceased had been surviving in the intensive care unit. He underwent high-level treatment, but unfortunately, he passed on. President William Ruto led the rest of the leaders in mourning and sending out a condolence message to Beatrice.

This is what the President wrote: “May God grant Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi and the family strength to bear with the loss of their dear son, Elvis Murakana. Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds their wounds.”

ODM Party Stands with MP Beatrice Elachi

On the other hand, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party that gave the MP the Dagoretti seat sent their commiserations.

The ODM party stated, “May God grant Hon. Beatrice Elachi (MP, Dagoretti North) and her family the fortitude and strength to overcome the pain of losing her son Elvis Murakana Namanya. It is a huge loss of Mheshimiwa. As a party, we stand with her during this difficult moment of mourning and grief.”

Other Kenyan Leaders’ Comfort

Catherine Omanyo, the Busia County woman representative, is part of the leaders that expressed their condolences. “My heart goes out to Hon. Beatrice Elachi and her family following the tragic loss of their son. On behalf of my family and the people of Busia County, I extend my deepest condolences. Pole sana,” Omanyo consoled.

Member of Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly, Robert Alai also sent his condolences. “It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on the tragic loss of your son, Elvis Murakana.”

Alai continues to condole, “As the MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, I join my people of Dagoretti north and beyond in mourning this profound loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.”
